Regionals, New Record; Lady Tigers for Fourth!

Stroud- The 2024 OSSAA Regional Track Meet was held in Stroud on Monday for Classes 1A and 2A. The meet was originally scheduled for Saturday (4/2/24); however, the severe weather event across the state canceled all high school regional track meets. Local high school athletes from Davenport, Stroud, and Wellston competed at regionals for a chance to qualify for the OSSAA state track meet on Friday and Saturday. High school athletes who placed in the top three of an event automatically qualified for the state track meet and the next four (4th–7th place) best performances from a region were also selected. For the field events, eight athletes will qualify for state, unless other parameters are met according to the OSSAA.

Wellston Athlete Savanah Gaylord

Stroud athlete Peyton Davis broke her own recent school record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.00 seconds and won both the 100-meter dash (time of 12.50 seconds) and the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 15.71 seconds.
